Quartz is heat stain and scratch resistant.
Although quartz is resistant to stains from juice, wine, coffee and other food substances, it is best to wipe up spills immediately to prevent possible stains. For stubborn or dried spills, use a nonabrasive cleaning pad such as a white 3M Scotch-Brite® scrub pad combined with a small amount of mild soap, cif cream original cleaner or specialized stone cleaner. If there is a persistent stain or the tops have dulled Bio-Mex or similar cream and specialist cleaners such as bar keepers friend can be very effective at removing stains and restoring the quartz to is original lustre.
Quartz does not require sealants as it is non-porous
Avoid using knives and utensils directly on surfaces.
Avoid using knives and utensils on the countertop, as metal may scratch quartz. When chopping vegetables, or preparing other foods with sharp utensils, use a chopping board to prevent scratches.
While quartz countertops are resistant to scratches, scuffs, dents, stains and burns, these surfaces are not damage-proof. Take care to avoid exposing quartz countertops to bleach, permanent inks, markers, dyes, nail polish remover, chemicals and solvents as these substances may not be removable.
