Quartz
QUARTZ
Quartz stone is a man-made engineered material. It is made from natural quartz crystals combined with resin binders and pigments. Typically 90-95% natural quartz and 5-10% resin polymers and pigments. This composition enables a wide range of colours and patterns from solid colours (whites not often seen in natural stone) to intricate marble-like patterns.
Quartz is exceptionally durable. Non-porous making it low maintenance as it does not require sealing, hygienic and resistant to stains. It is heat and scratch resistant, but like all stone can be subject to thermal impact and all brands of quartz recommend the use of chopping boards and trivets.

QUARTZ
Quartz as with natural stone comes in depths of 20mm and 30mm. There can be a dilemma as to which is right for you. Often there is not much of a price difference between the two and it comes down to personal preference. 30mm has a more substantial traditional and luxurious feel and is of course stronger particularly where there are overhangs on islands and breakfast bars, whilst 20mm offers a sleek minimalistic profile.
There are many different quartz brands, all with varying price groups to suit every budget. In our showroom we have 10+ brands where you will find the sample which is perfect for your project.
